Little Church

Little Church is a Gospel-based program for the 4 to 6 year olds of our parish.  It is offered during the first half of the 10:30am Sunday Mass from October through April in the Bishop’s Room (just off the Gathering Space).

The children are brought to the Bishop’s Room by a family member before Mass begins.  The teacher will present the Sunday Gospel to the children, and the children will complete a “mini-project” to help them understand what the Gospel is about. The children return to their families before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Then the helping parent with his/her family brings the gifts to the altar during the offertory. 

The usual time commitment for teachers in this ministry is one month of 4-5 Sundays,.  Preparation materials are provided 1-2 weeks in advance.  The leaflets are well-designed and have ample material to present the Gospel for the week.
